Cookeville Children's Museum is a community-inspired museum, designed to create memorable learning experiences through the joy of play by providing hands-on exhibits and programs. The museum is a place where children up to 10 years of age will find open ended, engaging toys and activities to interact with.
The museum promotes an atmosphere where children and parents can interact together, learning with each other the important role play has in children's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Cookeville Children’s Museum, Inc. is a non-profit organization that opened at the corner of 2nd Street and Cedar Avenue on Cookeville’s historic West Side business district on December 1, 2007.
During the nine years that we have been open to the public, we have brought thousands of visitors to the museum, and to Cookeville’s West Side. In addition to our hands-on exhibits and activities, we also offer workshops and field trips, drop-off camps, birthday parties, Night at the Museum (parent's night out), Mom and Me Spa Night, Burgers and Brews (A Summer Style Live Music and Cook Out), and a Family New Year’s Noon party.
